Fountec Pond Algaecide

Fountec algaecide pond algae treatment kills all types of algae and prevents regrowth in decorative fountains, water garden (without fish), tabletops and birdbaths ( yes, ok for birds). Fountec's cationic polymers also clarify water.

 

Mix one drop per gallon or 1/2 teaspoon per 100 gallons each week to maintain clarity and keep black, yellow, or green algae out of your fountain. You may have to use a double dose, or even more to start with, depending on how much algae is in your fountain.

Properly mixed, Fountec treated water is safe for birds, plants, pets, and animals, but this formulation is not safe for fish. (it coats their gills)

Unlike SIMIZINE based algaecides, Fountec algeacide is safe for plants and pets.

Unlike QUAT based algaecides, Fountec will not foam and cause cloudy water, plus it also kills bacteria and slime.
